Race Info and How to Enter

Over the course of the weekend there are 4 main events which you can enter: These events are open for all with the following age category classes and prices:

Open	20 (on the 01/01/2010 ) and above	120 NOK
Junior	17 - 20	100 NOK
Youth	12 - 16	80 NOK

Important info: All competitors must sign an entry form which includes a safety and photograhic rights waiver - therefore if you are under 18 years of age - this must be signed by a parent or legal guardian before you compete. On friday night - all jumpers must wear a helmet and if you wish to use the largest kicker then a back proctector is compulsary equipment.

Friday 12th March, 19:00 - Skare Big Air and telemark styling comp under lights:

Traditional wooden ski jumping competition will combine with a big air event under lights as Old School meets New School in Morgedal. The competition will take place on Skare farm which is just 1km south of the Hotel in Morgedal. An informal competition where participants can compete with skis / board and will be given style points by our judging panel. After all the competing there will be the traditional Ølbollerenn - an event which tests ski skill and grace to the limit.... not to be missed plus informal jumping into loose snow on old skis so here is a chance for all those who want to test out jumping on wooden straight sticks1800's style.

Best dressed man and woman on Friday night will win a prize! Best dressed means the most authentic 1880's style you can manage!

Saturday 13th March, 09:00 - Morgedal Sprint:

Part of the Norwegian Cup Circuit, a telemark sprint race on the Morgedal hotel slope. will offer precision racing on a short course. Norwegian competitors can enter through the online registration service offered by the Norwegian Ski Federation: Register here.

Saturday 13th March, 14:30 - Telecross:

Set on the hotel slope this dynamic 4 racer format will run elimination rounds until only the best skiers are left. This will be exciting and spectator friendly fun.

Sunday 14th March, 11:00 - Morgedal Classic:

An exciting telemark classic race set on the historical slopes of Øverbø. No lifts here - you walk the course using your own horse power! Starting high on the hills above Morgedal, the course includes 2 jumps, one directly through Sondre Norheim's birthplace. Here is a unique opportunity to race and ski on the "World's first slalom slopes".... don't miss it!
