 Ski making
Morgedal has a proud history of ski makers, not least Olav Bjaaland whose skills both making skis and standing on them made him an invaluable member of the Norwegian team that beat Scott in the infamous race to be the first to reach the South Pole. These skills have been preserved and passed on so that the old methods and original ski models from the valley can still be made today.
