Morgedal Winter Games 2010 - a telemark gatheringSondre Norheim of Morgedal started a ski sport revolution which changed the way the world would ski - and he did it on a pair of Telemark skis!Photos from the 2010 Morgedal Games event hereThanks to everyone who took part in this years event - especially all our international visitors - it was so nice to meet you and share Morgedal with you. More info coming here soon on thoughts and ideas for next years event. Morgedal is the home of Telemark Skiing and from March 11 - 14 we are going to celebrate a home coming of telemark skiers from all over. Before you book, keep in mind that this will be a unique and very different type of festival from what you may have experienced before.... Morgedal is not a ski resort, there are no chairlifts, cable cars, on mountain restaurants or après ski... just a simple valley with a unique heritage and a place where people have always loved to ski.The Morgedal Games is a telemark gathering which will celebrate the unique heritage of this most graceful sport and will attract some of the world's best telemark skiers who will compete in various events on historical slopes around the valley. This event is part of the Norway Telemark Cup circuit and also one of the Free-heeler festivals in 2010. Here is an awesome chance to experience the magic of Morgedal - the birthplace of ski sport and make a pilgrimage to the place where it all began. Tell your family, friends and neighbours, dust off your tele gear and come and join us for a weekend which celebrates all things skiing! |
