Morgedal Drift og Vedlikhold AS is a company based here in Morgedal (formed in 2004) that specializes in maintenance and repairs and currently provides services for a number of companies in West Telemark. In 2005 the company won a community development award for their work in establishing a bio energy heating plant for Morgedal Hotel – making the hotel here the first in Norway to become fully heated with “green energy” using woodchips from logging and forestry off-cuts.
